Privacy Notice for the Use of Digital Business Cards

IGEL uses digital business cards for modern and efficient business communication. In this context, IGEL processes relevant professional personal data of the business partners.

1. Purpose & Legal Basis of the Processing

The processing serves the purpose of exchanging business contact information for the initiation, maintenance, and handling of business relationships with customers, suppliers, interested parties and/or other business contacts.

The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). The legitimate interest is to contact business partners in an efficient and modern manner and to ensure a professional and representative external appearance of IGEL.

2. Categories of Personal Data

The personal data processed are composed of the following categories:

  • IP address
  • Pass Type ID for the Wallet;
  • Technical log data in IT systems.

3. Recipients or Categories of Recipients

IGEL uses a service provider for the use of digital business cards and transfers your personal data to the service provider for this purpose. The service provider hosts all data in data centres in Germany.

4. Duration of Storage

Your data will be processed for the initial download of a digital business card and, if necessary, the update of a digital business card stored in your Wallet. An update only takes place if you do not delete the digital business card from the wallet beforehand. The data is not stored beyond this.

5. No Use of Automated Decision making

No automated decision-making pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR takes place in connection with this processing.
