IGEL CommunityCitrix Synergy had it all this year:  our IGEL Community was out in full force at our events.  We had great give-and-take with our fellow thought leaders on the future of EUC, and we celebrated our extraordinary partners who take IGEL’s software story out to the front lines, with record-breaking sales results!

At Synergy we gave a special shout out to partners like Forthright who bring creativity and energy to an even higher level, proving we can be IT geeks and cool at the same time!

We gave out these IGEL Special Recognition Partner Awards:

New Platinum Partner: Burwood Group.  IGEL welcomes the newest member of our outstanding Platinum Partner group, now up to 20organizations.  Burwood has already doubled the pipeline requirement for Platinum partners, and has done a superb job of integrating IGEL’s endpoint security and optimization solution into multiple practices.  Burwood now ranks #1 in deal registrations and we are looking forward to their next success.

Sales Excellence:  Hogan Consulting Group.  In Q1 met all the specs to be an IGEL Platinum Partner.  HCG led the pack in revenue with the largest closed opportunity and generated over $5M in additional pipeline.

Sales Excellence:  Accelera Solutions.  Met Platinum Partner requirements in Q1.  Achieved #2 spot in revenue, with 2ndlargest closed opportunity, building the pipeline at $2M plus.

Technical Marketing:  Bob Allred, EUC Practice Manager, Right! Systems, Inc.  Bob really deserves three awards for being a combination event coordinator, lab builder and UD Pocket configuration wizard. He single-handedly drove attendance at six city road shows featuring IGEL; configured over 50 UD Pockets; built a remote lab that included Citrix, IGEL and Liquidware, and generated more than $250K in the pipeline.  Maybe he is actually three people!

Technical Marketing: Pete Downing, Chief Marketing Technology Officer, XenTegra. Pete is a great champion of EUC and IGEL, and he shows it with his prolific blog writing.  From IGEL’s Universal Desktop Converter that repurposes legacy devices, to the IGEL UD Pocket, the micro client for the mobile worker, Pete is our passionate advocate. And he turns passion into dollars via conversion workshops and UD Pocket activations.

CRN Channel Winner Partner Program GuideWhat’s better than one award, but two from the industry’s go-to channel media, CRN®!  For the second year, IGEL has scored a 5-star rating in CRN’s Partner Program Guide for its investments in best-in-class channel partner support.  We also scored a hit, making the CRN Internet of Things 50 list for our innovations in securing and simplifying management of IoT-connected endpoints.

We’re very grateful for this 2018 recognition. It speaks to our commitment as a 100% channel-first company. At the same time, we’re keeping our eye on the ball and developing end user computing technology to advance new ways of working, using IoT devices.  Doing both is what keeps IGEL front and center!

It’s been a busy past year, putting out new promotions and programs to support our channel partners.  Here are just a few of the winners and results:

  • Our lead-generation campaign culminating in the giveaway of a new Tesla P100D. Co-sponsored by AMD and Samsung, the campaign spanned 183 global events, generated 5,700 new evaluation requests, and more than 1,800 product demos!
  • A 74% U.S. revenue growth and 589% increase in U.S. software sales
  • A new Gold Level IGEL Partner Program tier, to add to our Platinum, Authorized IGEL Partner (AIP) and Reseller tiers.
  • A $20K back-end rebate for IGEL Platinum partners that reach $500K in sales, and a $50K rebate when they hit $1M in sales.
  • Launch of the IGEL Certified Engineering (ICE) training at the 2018 IGEL DISRUPT End User Computing Forum events held in Germany, Texas and Australia.

IoT_50_award_2018 CRNOn the IoT front we have announced support for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, and upgraded the IGEL Universal Desktop™-series UD5 and UD6 endpoints with management by the IGEL Universal Management Suite™ (UMS). As a result, IT organizations – from healthcare to manufacturing and beyond – are now able to simplify the management of their growing fleets of IoT-connected endpoints.

By 2020 there will be more than 50 billion devices connected to the internet. IGEL is already developing more EUC solutions to support our channel partners’ drive to make IoT a profitable and compelling part of their customer portfolio.

Our IGEL Team and CRN Naming our own Brad Tompkins to Channel Chiefs List

Boy, are we lovin’ February!  Our Austin DISRUPT event last week was a standout success. And our latest good news is IGEL’s North America VP of Sales Brad Tompkins has been named to the 2018 CRN® Channel Chiefs list!

Brad joined IGEL less than a year ago and is a great example of how our IGEL team goes from zero to 60 quickly in contributing to IGEL’s milestone record of successes.  He has been a key player in moving IGEL to a software-driven sales model.  His decade-long experience in driving adoption of virtualization has helped all our channel partners to effectively sell IGEL’s endpoint security and optimization software solutions to our rapidly growing customer base.

The numbers tell the story:

  • IGEL ended 2017 with 74% revenue growth in the U.S., year-over-year.
  • Software sales were up by 589% in the U.S., and specifically included sales for IGEL’s Universal Desktop Converter™ (UDC) and UD Pocket™ solutions.
  • During 2017 IGEL added 258,000 hardware units and 115,000 software seats, globally, resulting in a 16% growth in revenue for IGEL.

pipeline-marketing-awards-logo-296x300IGEL is all about firsts.  We’re first to bring more powerful endpoint software to the endpoint market to better serve remote and mobile workers.  We’re first to bring a USB device, the UD Pocket, to disrupt the way enterprises have been thinking of serving up desktop screens to their remote workers.  We’re first because we have talented people like our Director of Marketing, Enit Nichani, bringing new thinking to how we market IGEL.

Enit is capturing her own firsts this year!  She has just been named as a winner in the new Pipeline Marketing Awards judged by a panel of marketing leaders from Uberflip, Radius, Linkedin, Heinz Marketing, and Bizible.

As the awards people note, “Pipeline marketing is the methodology of managing marketing to expand and optimize the entire funnel, not just the top.  Rather than being content with driving lead volume or even opportunity volume, it’s a marketing strategy with a goal of growing revenue.”

The judges named Enit to this first round of winners, saying she “creatively designed more effective methods of engaging with the organization’s prospects, ultimately generating millions of dollars in new sales for the company. Her focus is revenue, and she constantly finds new and improved ways of generating pipeline.”

Earlier this year, Enit received garnered two other firsts:  she made her debut on CRN’s prestigious 2017 Women of the Channel list, and she received a 2017 Silver Stevie® Award for Women in Business. Enit won the Stevie award in the Business-to-Business Marketing Campaign of the Year category for her innovative IGEL lead generation campaign which featured a giveaway of a new Tesla P100D. A global program which actively engaged qualified prospects, on the spot, to sign up for a demo, the IGEL Tesla giveaway resulted in 5,700 new evaluation requests and 1,888 completed product demos in under nine months for IGEL.

Enit has also been a key player in the re-launch of IGEL’s Partner Program and development of its Platinum Partners, driving revenue growth through comprehensive marketing and sales resources, deal registration, backend rebates and MDF accrual. She also works closely with our ecosystem partners to ensure that IGEL’s endpoint security and optimization software remains top of mind when solving enterprises’ needs for a more cost-effective, secure endpoint solution.

We’re grateful for having the chance to work with creative talents like Enit.  She is a key reason we will be first in technology – and pipeline strength – in 2018!

SVC Awards IGEL UD PocketLast night IGEL received the Digitalisation Innovation of the Year award for our UD Pocket solution at the UK’s SVC Awards.

It was great to see UD Pocket getting the recognition it deserves from the technology savvy readers who voted from publications such as Digitalisation World, Datacenter Solutions, Storage Virtualisation and Cloud. It’s further proof that our mission to bring the revolutionary micro endpoint to businesses is working.

The industry’s first Linux-based micro endpoint, UD Pocket has been designed to allow users access to their desktop while on the move from any device. No larger than a paper clip, you simply plug the device into the USB port of any PC, laptop or endpoint and it temporarily makes any Intel x86 64-bit desktop an IGEL endpoint without over writing the local OS. It gives the mobile worker instant access to their cloud services, server-based computing applications or virtual desktop and is automatically integrated into the IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS) for remote support, deployment and management.

As well as another shiny award for the increasingly crammed IGEL trophy cabinet and a great party, hopefully, this latest recognition will further peak the curiosity of even more IT managers who are looking for a simple, secure and mobile desktop solution.

In a 32-category competition, CRN gave top honors to IGEL for the UD Pocket in the “PC- Workstation/Desktops/AiOs” category.

CRN awards honor technology standouts that are moving the IT industry forward. Since IGEL launched the UD Pocket just a year ago, it has certainly been a catalyst in moving the industry to think of a new approach to delivering a secure user experience to remote and distributed workplaces. Enterprise customers have quickly realized its value. In less than a year IGEL and our partners have sold tens of thousands of the UD Pocket to large enterprise accounts.

Jeff is a brilliant mastermind in helping IGEL’s channel partners move customers past hurdles that can slow VDI adoption. He is passionate about VDI and IGEL, and he brings this commitment, 100%, every day!

Until now, Jeff has been a bit of an unsung hero in the IT channel. That changes today with CRN® naming Jeff to its 2017 list of “100 People You Don’t Know But Should.” After talking to solution providers and industry executives CRN created the list of channel management professionals who work under-the-radar, tirelessly working to support the IT channel.

Tirelessly is an apt description of Jeff, who leads partner training sessions and speaks at partner and customer events more than 50 times a year!   After 35 years in the IT industry, Jeff knows what IGEL’s endpoint security and optimization software can do to streamline IT operations and support secure VDI. Importantly, his experience also plays in being able to develop channel solutions and solve problems so VDI adoption looks doable to the customer.

This powerhouse combination is why Jeff has been a key contributor in IGEL achieving an 890% increase in software sales for the first half of 2017, and 156% growth worldwide.

The Cloud is here, no one can dispute that. It’s got to be the most efficient way to deliver infrastructure today.

Desktops from the cloud are the future – who wants to run all that infrastructure in the background and worry about networking, storage and compute resources? Let’s leave that to the cloud folks: Amazon, Azure, Google and IBM are going to be better for any small or medium size business.

How can IGEL help? Well for one thing, wherever you get your desktop you are still going to need something on the desktop that helps you display, run and manage your applications even if they are in the cloud. And guess what? The average business is going to need some help with getting that endpoint configured and most importantly, made secure, and THAT is why I am so delighted that IGEL has been named to the CRN Cloud Partner Program. It’s nice to see the industry recognizing Simon’s midmarket dedication, naming him to The Channel Company’s Top Midmarket IT Executives list for 2017. The annual list honors influential vendor and solution provider executives who have demonstrated an exceptionally strong commitment to the midmarket. Simon will receive the award this week at the 2017 Midsize Enterprise Summit Fall, in San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 17-19.

After less than a year on board at IGEL, Simon has made his mark in spectacular fashion, demonstrating to the midmarket how IGEL can help companies improve productivity and get the most business benefits from virtualization, using our endpoint security and optimization software to deliver a secure, satisfying desktop experience on any device.

Simon has been a key player in IGEL achieving such historical milestones as an 890% in software revenue in the U.S. market in the first half of 2017 and 156% worldwide through aggressive sales and marketing initiatives. He has also helped to establish new routes to market through innovative Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) managed service offerings from Platinum Partners Entisys360 and MTM Technologies. Simon has also worked to expand our IGEL Platinum Partner Program and helping to establish Channel Partner Advisory, Customer Advisory and Marketing Advisory Councils.
